A French Pattern Chisel is used for shaping, cutting or contouring bone. The French Pattern Chisel is primarily used in orthopaedic & dental/maxillofacial surgery and occasionally in ENT for more controlled removal. French Pattern Chisels are slender and have a finely tapered blade with a bevelled edge making it ideal for precise bone cutting in delicate areas.
