The Kerrison Bone Punch Forceps are used to remove small, thin slices of bone and are one of the most widely used bone removing instruments in surgery. The Kerrison Bone Punch Forceps are primarily used in neuro and orthopaedic spine surgery, although can be used in some ENT and cranial neurosurgical procedures. The Kerrison Bone Punch has an up-biting action, therefor the jaws open at the tip and punch the bone away in the direction the surgeon is looking.
