Diathermy Insulation Testing device for checking Bipolar Diathermy & Monopolar Diathermy Cables and Forceps.

The MHRA states that electrosurgical equipment such as monopolar & bipolar leads and forceps should be examined for flaws in their insulation. They go on to suggest that checks may be necessary beyond those recommended by the manufacturer, to detect breakages. Our diathermy insulation tester is the perfect tool for validating diathermy insulation for forceps, cabled, laparoscopic instruments and any other insulated electrosurgical equipment.

The handheld diathermy insulation testing device is portable and easy to use. The wand on the top of the device is sweeped over the instrument and if the device bleeps, it indicates there is a break in the insulation. The forceps or equipment can then be sent to a reputable surgical instrument repair company, like Uniplex, to be reinsulated, reducing environmental waste over buying new.
